2020-2021 TRHC Season Information
2020-04-01Toms River Blackhawks will skate teams from 8U Mite thru 18U Midget in 2020-2021 in the NJYHL and EJEPL
The Toms River Hockey Club would like to announce our tryout plans and season information for the upcoming 2020-2021 Toms River Blackhawks travel ice hockey season.
The Club plans to skate travel teams from the 8U Mite through the 18U Midget Major levels to compete in the NJYHL, EJEPL, and various tournaments throughout the Atlantic region.
We will once again offer our popular U6/U8 Mite ADM program for the 2020/2021 season which focuses on player development and skills with a true 3:1 practice to game ratio over the course of the season in a FUN learning environment. The Mite ADM players will have over 40 on-ice practices, participate in the AAHA Mite Jamboree, play limited games later in the season, and participate in a tournament. You can find all the information on our 6U/8U Mite ADM program on our website HERE.
Our 8U Mite through 14U Bantam teams will get on the ice in late June for 8 weeks of Summer Skills Sessions with their respective teams until the end of August. This will help our players and teams get a jump on skills, training, and conditioning, prior to the start of the new season.
Our 16U Midget Minor and 18U Midget Major teams start team practices in July to get prepared for the NJYHL short season.
Our 10U Squirt, 12U Peewee, and 14U Bantam levels will have off-ice dryland training over the summer, and also get to attend a number of power skating and skills clinics lead by outside instructors throughout the course of the season.
We are again planning to enter our top level teams at specific age levels into the EJEPL (https://www.ejepl.net/) league. These teams will play in EJEPL Showcases and have games scheduled over the course of the season. We will be adding some additional teams to the offering and planning to skate those teams at the following levels in the league:
-
10U SQUIRT - EJEPL FUTURES
-
12U PEEWEE - EJEPL FUTURES
-
13U BANTAM MINOR - EJEPL DIAMOND
-
16U MIDGET MINOR - EJEPL DIAMOND
We will continue to support and grow our "Lady Hawks" girls ice hockey program, which gives female hockey players some additional "Girls Only" experiences playing together in various girls tournaments and jamborees within our district over the course of the season. We will plan to have "Lady Hawks" teams at the 8U, 12U and 14U levels for next season.
We will also continue to offer a number of popular TUITION DISCOUNTS to our members at our tryouts again this year...
