A Game for Megan - January 5th, 2019

The Toms River Blackhawks Coaches and Alumni team took to the ice this past Saturday, January 5th, to take on the Jersey Shore First Responders in “A Game for Megan”, a benefit game for EMT Megan Franzoso. The event proved to be a great success as Winding River Skating Center was packed to capacity. The Jersey Shore First Responders, who were made up of players from the Toms River Police Department, Manchester Police Department and Berkeley Police Department, won the game by a score of 4-1. The game also featured our Toms River Blackhawks Mite players who played “Mites on Ice” in between the first and second periods. It was a great atmosphere inside the rink and incredible support of the event all around. On behalf of the Toms River Blackhawks we want to thank all who supported this game. We wish Megan the best on her road to recovery!!!
