Peewee B sends goodies to National Guard in St. Thomas
2017-10-16Toms River Blackhawks Peewee B collects goodies for the troops
Daniel Georgeson is a player on the Toms River Blackhawks Peewee B team and one of the team’s assistant captains. Daniel’s father, Brian, is in the National Guard and was deployed about a month ago to St. Thomas to assist with relief efforts from the hurricane. He will most likely be there until the end of November. Brian is always so helpful to the team and loves watching the Peewee B team play hockey, so the team thought it would be nice to gather up some goodies for Brian and his troops to express their thanks and send them a little bit of home while they are helping others re-build their lives.
Below is a thank you message and some pictures we recently received from Brian, along with a picture of the Thank You card the Peewee B team signed to send with the goodies:
Great job Peewee B!!!
The Toms River Blackhawks thank you, and the rest of the National Guardsmen for your service and wish you all the best of luck with the relief efforts.

I just received the wonderful surprise the team put together for myself and my troops, I wanted to sincerely thank you and the team for doing this for us. If you could please forward the below message to the rest of the team, again thank you very much! Let's Go Blackhawks!
Blackhawk PWB Families - I want to thank each and every one of you for the wonderful surprise I and the rest of the troops received today. We appreciate first and foremost that you all were thinking of us and second the generosity you all showed with everything received. These little things mean a lot when dealing with the conditions we are in. This experience has been very difficult at times dealing with the conditions but rewarding at the same time helping rebuild a school and working with the Red Cross. Again, I as well as the rest of my troops really appreciate everything. It's a pleasure and honor being a part of this Blackhawks PWB family.
