Parker nork

On March 11, 2017, Parker Nork passed just weeks after being diagnosed with Leukemia.  He was just 9 years old.  His passing was absolutely devastating to the Toms River Hockey Club and throughout the greater hockey community.  Parker was an avid athlete who loved hockey, football, and lacrosse.  He was full of life and finishing his first Squirt season when he was diagnosed with Leukemia.  Parker will forever be in our hearts and his #1 is permanently retired.

Today, the Toms River Hockey Club is a proud partner of Parker’s Army, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in the memory of Parker Nork. The organization seeks to raise funds through various community events to provide scholarships to high school student athletes, to help fund area youth recreational programs and hockey programs, and to donate to help in the fight to cure childhood cancer.

Aidan inteso

On September 13, 2020, the Toms River hockey community suffered an enormous loss. Aidan Inteso, a graduate of Toms River High School East, and student at Ursinus College, passed suddenly from complications of Myocarditis. He was 18.  Prior to attending Ursinus College, Aidan played his entire youth hockey career in Toms River, beginning with the Shore Riptide, and then as a Toms River Blackhawk.  While attending High School East, Aidan played for the Toms River South-East Varsity hockey team where he served as team captain.  Aidan was a first-year student at Ursinus College, where he was exploring business and environmental studies.  Aidan will forever be in our hearts and in his honor, his #9 is permanently retired.

Today, the Toms River Hockey Club is a proud supporter of the Aidan Inteso Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to providing educational scholarship funding and opportunities to empower children, teens, and young adults to “be better.”
