Toms River Resident and Toms River Blackhawk Squirt Player has lived with juvenile diabetes for almost half his life.  Since his diagnosis five years ago he and his family have been trying to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF for short.  JDRF is the world leader for diabetes research.  They are a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization.  Brett's family has created a walk team called "Brett's Brigade" for JDRF.

Donations can be made on-line or join our walk team at www.jdrf.org.  This years walk is being held Sunday, October 3rd 9am Seaside Heights Boardwalk.  It is a 5k walk.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided and also free rides and tokens for the arcade is provided by Casino Pier.  Brett gives away "1" custom designed shirt (designed by him) to each family (one per family is given away, add'l can be purchased).  Please visit the website if you would like more information on the walk and/or you can also view Brett's fundraising page.
